After a short hiatus, I’m back in the blogosphere with sad news: Our beloved dog Winnie passed away in February at age 15. We miss her dearly.
But we have a new member of the family to cheer us up. Meet Dougal, the goofiest, wrinkliest, slobberiest Basset hound/English bulldog mix to ever grace in the interwebs. He’s named after one of our favorite characters, Father Dougal McGuire of the Irish comedy show Father Ted.
Dougal enjoys walking, chasing tennis balls, snuggling, and blanket-hogging. He’s never met a person he didn’t like or a treasured family heirloom he couldn’t destroy. He’s hard at work as my new writing-assistant-in-training, learning important skills like how to warm my lap without drooling on the keyboard.
