I didn’t have much time for reading this month, since I got married (!) and spent two weeks in Ireland on my honeymoon. But I did get some reading done on the eight-hour flight across the pond.

I first intended for this month’s theme to encompass fantasy in general. But I had so many fantasies sitting unread on my bookshelves, I had to narrow it down. I chose a few books with “magic” in the title, which made for a nice mix of genres.

  • Pure Dead Magic by Debi Gliori (middle grade fantasy)
  • The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett (humorous fantasy)
  • The Magic Words by Cheryl Klein (writing craft)

Whew! I can’t believe how fast this year is flying by. Happy summer, everyone!
