Though still busy with my YA fantasy work-in-progress, I managed to make some time for reading this month. For the Beloved Author theme, I read books I’d never read before by authors I already knew and loved.

- Enchanted Glass by Diana Wynne Jones (MG fantasy). Other books I love by this author: Howl’s Moving Castle, Castle in the Air, House of Many Ways, Unexpected Magic.
- The Screaming Staircase and The Whispering Skull by Jonathan Stroud (MG fantasy). Other books I love by this author: the Bartimaeus series.
- The Supernaturalist by Eoin Colfer (MG sci-fi). Other books I love by this author: the Artemis Fowl series.
- The Fire in Fiction by Donald Maass (writing craft). Other books I love by this author: The Emotional Craft of Fiction, Writing the Breakout Novel.
Next month will be busy, between the Colorado Gold and Letters & Lines conferences, but I’m hoping to read a few sequels to beloved books for Sequel September.
