About Me

Hi! I’m Rachel Delaney Craft.

I’m an engineer by day, a writer by night (and mornings, and weekends, and pretty much any time I can spare). I’m currently querying my debut novel, a middle grade fantasy, and drafting my next one. I also write short stories—mostly middle grade, young adult, and speculative fiction. I’m an active member of Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers and the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators. I consider myself an “emerging” writer, because I’ve had a few publications and I’ve made a little bit of money on my writing. But my dream is to publish novels, and to eventually make a living with my writing. It’s a long journey, but I’m enjoying every step of the way.

I live in sunny Colorado with my fiance and our semi-neurotic Jack Russell terrier. When I’m not writing, you might find me scrapbooking, gardening, doing yoga, or trying (in vain) to organize our new house.

For more info on my writing, check out my publications page, my blog, or my monthly posts for RMFW.
